Sharon has been painting for many years. She paints en plein air (outdoors at the site) and in a la prema (wet on wet) to capture the essence of the scene. As she selects her painting site, she calls upon her senses to feel the presence of a light breeze, sounds of birds, and the pressure of decomposed granite underfoot. Pure light emerges from behind rugged mountains to illuminate her paintings. Former member of the San Clemente Artists Association in California, she was an award winning artist. She has painted and sold seascapes in southern California, mountain scenes of Colorado purchased by Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Australian art lovers and now she has the pleasure of capturing the deserts and northern Arizona beauty that abounds. She is a current member of the Payson Art League/Rim Country Artists, in Payson, AZ
